DESCRIPTION:High school seniors will get a firsthand look at what it means to build and maintain the structures that power our world. During this site visit to Boilermakers Local #83\, students will explore the skills\, tools\, and teamwork that define the boilermaker trade—from welding and rigging to metal fabrication and field construction. Participants will tour the training facility\, meet experienced union members and apprentices\, and learn about career pathways\, apprenticeships\, and the benefits of working in this high-demand field. This experience gives students a real-world glimpse into the craftsmanship\, safety\, and pride that come with a career as a Boilermaker.
