Seniors visiting Roofers Local 20 will learn about the joint apprenticeship program: a 5-year, 6,000-hour registered training combining on-the-job work with classroom schooling. They’ll learn about roofing and waterproofing skills, meet instructors, tour facilities, and engage in a hands-on activity. Students will also get details on wages (starting apprentice rate, journeyperson & possible foreman rates), benefits, and safety expectations.Requirements like being 18 years old and moving up through levels as skills grow would also be covered.
